Project Proposals Developed in Class.
My claim is that children are affecting by technology in both negative and positive ways because they have advances that help them and hinder them at the same time.

The format i used was pictures and songs that ment a lot to me and with every transition played a part of a new song. The pictures were me, my friends, and a few family members that are the most important to me in my life. I decided on this because it was the easiest and fastest way to put a video together. Otherwise i would have sat there all day trying to figure out a way to put a video together. The video maker was new type of technology to me so it took a few tries to make the perfect video.

Little Brother
“This is where it starts, guys. This is how we know which side you’re on. You might not be willing to take to the streets and get busted for your beliefs, but if you have beliefs, this will let us know it. This will create the web of trust that tells us who’s in and who’s out. If we’re ever going to get our country back, we need to do this. We need to do something like this.” (Little Brother Pg. 111)
Little Brother has many interesting and important things about it, but to me the most important scene is the one above because this is when they are forming a group and doing someting about Winston’s ideas. Instead of just sitting back and being treated like a terrorist and basically like crap they are going to group up a few people that they fully trust and fight the DHS. This basically is the climax, to me, in the story because if this scene did not exist then there would be no end to the story and no point in writing it. Winston is strong, determined, and pissed off and he is not going to sit down and watch himself and his friends get tortured in ways that they should not be, especailly because his best friend died. This scene illustrates the moment that they have formed sort of a “union” and are going to fight back at the bad guy for the interrogation and mistreatment.

Impact of Tecnology essay revision
The development of technology and all the new systems has not only affected my life, but the life of many people around me. Every year something smarter, easier, and faster comes out onto the market for people like me to buy. The impact it has made for everyone is so large it is somewhat unexplainable. Communication among eachother has opened up and has been much easier to do. There are cell phones, Ipods and Mp3 players, emails, myspace, facebook, Gameboys, and much more. These have not only made a difference in my life and become part of my identity but part of millions of other people around the world.
The cell phone, i believe was not made popular till the 90’s when more teenagers started getting them as gifts or just for personal use. In this generation kids as young as seven have cell phones. I personally would not be able to carry out my daily routines in my life without my cell phone right by my side all day long. Not only is it useful in the way i communicate with almost everyone, but it is also almost an addiction. I am constantly texting and talking on the phone, I think the cell phone is something that changed my life. Without it i do not think i would talk to people at all, sometimes because i wonder if i would take the time to go see them face to face. My cell phone is a must have piece of technology and it is not only like this for me, but many other people. It has become a necessity of our daily lives and has come to fit itself into our everyday routines. This is has to be the first and most important thing in my life, because it has so many functions and uses that i would not be able to do with anything else.
Another item i am always using is my Ipod. It is such a useful and convenient thing. It is so slick and small yet it holds thousands upon thousands of songs. I always carry it with me. I use it as I do my homework, clean, read, and i have to sleep to it. All my favorite songs are on it, I even plug it into the radio of my car and hear commercial free music. So many people have Ipods and Mp3 players. They are amazing gifts to give and even better to receive. My Ipod is such a big part of my life i do not think i can really function without it either. The music i listen to makes me in a good mood all day, and i do not think i could do anything without it.
Cameras are another of the best inventions I can think of today. They not only get smaller and easier to carry but they also get smarter every single year. They are so advanced that i have seen some that do not take a picture unless everyone in it is smiling. I do not know how people come up with these things, but almost everyone i know has a camera. Instead of carrying around a disposable camera we carry around an electronic one that we can simply plug into our computer and download thousands of pictures. I love my camera, i carry it everywhere i go and take pictures of anything and everything. That is how we keep memories and form such important things like albums, gifts, and memory books. I would not have a lot of things if i did not have my camera and whenever they need to charge you just plug it in or charge the batteries and they are good for another month or two.
The internet has also impacted my life and made everything so much easier to deal with. I do not even know where to begin when explaining the internet’s convenience. I can communicate with people in a very fast way with so many resources like email, myspace, aim. All of these are websites I am on every single day, there has not gone one day that i am not on the internet. Not only do I talk to people through it, but i do all my school and personal research. Whenever i need to do homework or i have a huge project the internet (google) is the first thing i think of. It is so simple to use and produces thousands of results. Also if I need to look up the address of somewhere or the times of a certain store I am a few clicks away from it. Teachers contact me through the internet also, for example, my email address is so frequently visited because that is where i know what is going on in my classes. I need to be on it everyday to get worksheets, dates of tests, and to find out the dates of my classes. I love visiting blog websites very often too because I love reading the interesting things people have to say about their lives. I especially read about married women and the challenges they face on a daily basis. Blogging is a big success and now a days people everywhere from all over the world write about their lives and what is going on in it. That is mostly how we hear about other countries and their problems and situations because we can easily read the newspaper on the internet instead of going to the store and buying them. This is also how we can contact family from all over the country, people all over are using webcams instead of the phone to speak to one another and to see each other. The internet is unstoppable and the more people know how to use it the easier our lives have come to be.
Things like Gameboys, D.S. systems, Gamestation that should not affect my life do in a very big way. My brother has a D.S. which is a type of hand held electronic game and i play on it every single day. He has so many games for it, it is ridiculous. It is time consuming and very stupid yet it manages to grab my full attention because of how fun it is made to be. Even my dad is somewhat addicted to this D.S. It is so advanced, it is touch screen which makes it even better to play with. Things like this take time and lives of so many people especially the younger crowd. This not necessarily a good thing, but we can make it one by using them for advancing our knowledge instead of wasting our time. The new Wii system can help you exercise, because of games that are made to make you run, lift weights, and even feel as if you are hiking on a mountain. They feel so real and are fun to do instead of the usual exercising that we do out of force, these we like to do because they are exciting. These systems also let me have something in common with my little brother, otherwise we would not communicate very much with eachother because it helps open up gateways to talk to eachother more.
Life is also very impacted by electronic schedule organizer. They are so discrete and “handy”. They slip so easily into pockets or purses. Whenever a date has to be remembered or something has to be marked down they are simply typed and saved. This has become such a huge part of business worker’s lives because they do not have to deal with papers and folders of things because everything is in that little schedule. I have not been able to locate one because they are so expensive, but i know if i did it would be another “must have” part of my daily routine. It is almost like a little computer in your hand, it is really such a smart invention. In a way it has saved a lot of trees because paper schedules involve hundreds of papers, but instead we have an electronic devise to do all the same work for us.
Technology is such a big part of my life i really do not think i would be the person i am today had i not found all these different electronics. They influence my every move and decision. I determine every hour of the day based on a text, email, phone call, i-m, or message that i receive from someone. Nothing in this world is not influenced by technology. Everything we do has some sort of advancement in it and will get more and more advanced as we grow as a society. We need all these things to keep up and keep things moving along otherwise everything would go wrong. Technology has made us become the “smart era” and the constantly “advancing era” we will always be growing in number and growing in the things that are invented and thought up. We all would not be who we are today if we did not have at least one of these things in our daily lives.

The impact of Technology Essay
